Meditation: YTT Module TNP Wellness 200-Hour YAECP® Teacher Training
There’s More to Teaching Meditation Than Cueing the Breath
Meditation is one of the most requested offerings in yoga and wellness spaces — and one of the least taught with real depth. To guide it well, especially for students carrying stress, grief, or trauma, you need more than a calm voice and a timer.
Most yoga teachers and wellness professionals find themselves:
- Defaulting to the same one or two techniques they learned in their initial training
- Unsure how to guide students who become activated, anxious, or dissociative during meditation
- Unfamiliar with the range of practices available — and when to use which one
- Missing the trauma-informed framework needed to make meditation truly accessible
- Lacking confidence to hold a meditation-focused class or workshop on their own
Without a solid meditation foundation, teachers avoid it — and students miss one of the most powerful tools in the practice.
